Check out Chris's bio: Pastor Chris Wimberly serves as pastor of Selah Hills Church in Georgetown, Texas. He, his wife Christie, and their two children—Canon and Charis—moved to the Austin area in 2020 to plant this thriving church.

Born near Fayetteville, Arkansas, Chris grew up in Amarillo, Texas, before moving to Southern California as a teenager. During his early twenties, he pursued a music career, playing in a band called Dubluva while struggling with depression and substance abuse, having never been meaningfully introduced to the Gospel.

Everything changed when he met his future wife Christie, who invited him to church. At a young adult ministry in Southern California, Chris encountered Christ and immediately committed his life to the Lord. After leaving the music industry, he enrolled at Vanguard University, earning a degree in Christian Ministry while serving in youth ministry.

Chris's passion for expository preaching was ignited at a Calvary Chapel church in San Juan Capistrano, where he eventually became the Junior High pastor. God later called the Wimberly family to Central Texas, where Chris continues to serve as a Calvary Chapel pastor, giving all glory to God for the transformation in his life.
